Privacy

The short version: the app has no account, shows no ads, and tracks nothing. What you write stays on your phone. The only thing that leaves it is whether you paid for a subscription.

Last updated 21 September 2026.

What stays on your phone

Your journal, the notes you write, the deeds you marked done, the themes you chose, your reminder time and every other preference live in a database on the device itself. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or readable by us. We have no copy, which is also why deleting them cannot be undone.

Daily reminders are scheduled by the phone. No push service is involved, so no server knows when your reminder is set for, or that you have one.

What leaves your phone

Whether you have a subscription, and the purchase receipts behind it. These go to Apple and to RevenueCat, the service that reads Apple's receipts for us. RevenueCat sees a random identifier for your phone and whether the subscription is active. It never sees your name, your email, or anything in your journal.

That is the whole list. In particular, the app has:

The one thing that touches the internet

Crisis support near you. Under "When it's hard" there is a button that opens Find A Helpline inside the app's browser view. The address carries only your two-letter region, so the page can show helplines in your country. We are not told that you tapped it.

This website

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you enter your email address to be told when the app launches, it is stored by the mailing service we use for exactly that one message, and for nothing else. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will.

Children

The app is written for adults and older teenagers. It does not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect anything.

Your data, your call

Settings → Your data holds two buttons. Export writes everything you have kept into a plain text file you can save or send. Delete everything removes your journal, your notes and your settings from the phone for good. Neither needs our permission, because neither involves us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the app ever starts sending something new off your phone, this page and the app's own privacy declaration change in the same release.
